IRIS Exchequer Warehouse Solutions launched

IRIS, the UK's largest private software business, today announced the launch of the new IRIS Exchequer Warehouse Solutions module, part of its award winning IRIS Exchequer accounting software solution.

IRIS Exchequer Warehouse Solutions offers users stock workflow that is fully integrated with the IRIS Exchequer accounting and business solution. Users can choose robust, portable, touch screen handheld devices as part of the system to promote picking accuracy and improve productivity. These also provide real-time monitoring of all stock movements that synchronises with live stock inventory.

With many stock items having a limited shelf-life, and with new versions of products continuously evolving as manufacturers innovate to beat the recession, IRIS Exchequer Warehouse Solutions is intended to provide control across the whole lifecycle of stock items. Stock rotation has been designed to minimise wastage and speed stock turnover.

The system has been designed around the four main tasks of every warehouse in such a way as to optimise the balance between flexibility and responsiveness to demand, and a reduced level of capital tied-up in stock. The system also groups functions as Goods In, Goods Out, Stock Transfer and Stock Take to ensure the system supports warehouse operation rather than dictates it.
